Tieks are the most comfortable shoes I own, so naturally they‘re what I reach for when I’m heading to Disney. Even though most people know that I wear Tieks daily, I’m often asked if they are good to wear for outings when I’m on my feet all day, like Disney. I know everyone’s feet are different, but for me, I love wearing my Tieks to Disney!
One thing to keep in mind when deciding whether or not to wear Tieks at Disney is what normally works for you. Can you normally wear flats for long periods of time? Are you more comfy in sneakers? Are you a flip flops girl? Do you need shoes with arch support? Whatever works for you in your everyday life will probably hold true at Disney.
I’m one of those weird people that can’t wear sneakers for very long before my feet start aching. Until I found Tieks, I struggled to find a shoe that would keep me comfy when I was on my feet all day. Now, I practically live in my Tieks. Some people might think I’m crazy for wearing my Tieks to Disney, but they totally work for me! I‘ve seen people wearing flip flops at Disney and that would kill my feet! You just have to keep in mind that everyone’s feet are different!
One of the reasons I find Tieks so comfy is that their split-sole and flexible midsole are built to mold to your foot and flex as you walk. Another big factor that I feel contributes to Tieks’ comfortability, is their signature, teal rubber sole which acts like a shock absorber for your feet, especially when walking on hard pavement for long periods of time.
If you’re contemplating wearing Tieks to Disney, or any other all day outing, I would make sure you give them a good test run beforehand or plan to bring a pair of back up shoes. You’ll want to wear your Tieks for prolonged periods of time ahead of time to make sure you’ll be comfy wearing them all day at Disney.
I wouldn’t try to break in a new pair of Tieks at Disney. I always wear my most tried and trusted pairs of Tieks when I head to Disney, that way I’m confident I’ll be comfy in them all day long!
Before deciding to wear my Tieks to Disney, I had previously worn my Tieks traipsing all over NYC and other outings, so I knew Tieks would be comfy for me to wear to the parks all day. Unless it’s raining of course! If I think it’s going to rain, I wear alternative shoe options. While my Tieks can handle a little water, I don’t like to wear them to the parks if I think that they’ll get soaked.
I’ve run into a few other Tieks Girls at the parks so I know I’m not the only one that loves wearing their Tieks to Disney, but I realize that it’s not for everyone. Like I said before, whether or not you can wear your Tieks to Disney will depend on your every day experience with them. I’ve been wearing Tieks almost daily for over 8 years and practically live in them, but others might only be able to wear them for a few hours at a time. Just remember, everyone’s feet are different! Give yourself some time to see how Tieks work for you and then decide for yourself if you think you can wear them to Disney.
